I love how meandering you are as a…cultural guide? One episode I’m contemplating assisted suicide and learning about the life of a musical artist I vaguely know, the next I’m on scorched earth next to an airstream listening to a guy I used to watch on MTV as a kid who’s running for mayor of LA. I love how strange life can be.
Thanks for interviewing Spencer! I’ve become obsessed with watching this race from across the country. I don’t know if he’ll win or achieve what he says he will. But he’s got passion and authenticity which is something LA leadership has been void of for quite some time.
Very similar thing happened in Seattle. No fires, but police and homeless navigation team was practically eliminated/underfunded (WOKE mentality) and because the orange mental-case in DC did nothing to stop COVID what was once a beautiful livable city became unlivable with drug addict/naked people wandering the streets in a mindless state and tent cities right down the street from our house. We moved after 30 years in the same house. Pressured out.
Good interview . Full disclosure i skipped the dog abuse part because i just can’t bear it. But good that you and spencer aired it. Also - please interview steve hilton
Interesting. Very interesting. (This is a Laugh-In reference for us boomers). I was glad to hear the interview. I wish there was a more SF Laurie-like candidate, actually. But given the 3 candidates, I would vote for him.
Great episode! I've learned so much from your interviews about LA civic/political life and challenges, and this was no exception. I might actually enjoy them more from a distance than I would if I lived there. And I wish I could cast a vote for Pratt!
Mile-a-minute mouth with a fresh perspective. I’m so sick of the fecklessness of the blue bubble political class. Love that he’s talking common sense. Could do without the Trumpian diction and rhetorical questions though
Damn, Meghan. You’re a legend. Interviewing him outside of the Airstream. This is going to be an iconic moment in his campaign! Amazing.

Always happy to hear that the podcast has people contemplating assisted suicide!
Yayyy!! Authenticity! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
We need someone like him in Chicago too.
Swoon!
Cannot wait to vote for someone who actually tells the truth

I visted Seattle 4 years ago, and was shocked at the change. So sad, it is such a great city.
I continue to love and be amazed by your fearlessness and dedication to the truth.
Well done. This is what L.A. needs.
Great, informative interview!

Yes, I would skip it, too. It's so painful.

Adam Miller seems like that candidate. Not getting traction tho unfortunately.
Your "new" place is beautiful. Loved the Lena Dunham episode and looking forward to this one. Can Hugo be on camera one time?
Hugo is that black blob in the doorway in the background. I used a different camera and didn't realize how wide the shot was!
I thought that might be him!
